On first hearing I thought Alchemy must have been a lifted Kate Bush sample I hadn’t heard before. Awesome band with a strong rebel-femme message and vibe, exactly what the world needs right now. Straight to my Emotions playlist.
Alchemy with its long held and amazing vocals, delivers the melancholy rage that makes you want to run up that hill and make a deal with God. Then Candy Mountain (Charlie the Unicorn anyone?) insights feelings and imagery of messy, horny, house parties.
Here’s to You Mr Robinson, Fast Car, and Moonbeam stand as solid protests against the modern world, with Mr Robinson and Fast Car taking aim at facets of patriarchy, with a tongue-in-cheek tone.
