Summer was summering, with a new recorded temp of 38ºC 40ºC in London, an emotional rollercoaster for me bookended by heartbreak and a wedding (that order). Highlight of the month was finally going to see one of my all time favourite artists, the, Fantastic Negrito, at London Jazz Club, where after a two year wait he truly, truly delivered. I have raved about The Negrito for years, and am mad that he is still not a household name. His 2018 album Please Don’t Be Dead Yet is essential listening.
